Pete's film 'Chasing Water' continues to win awards- collectively it has won over 20 film festival accolades. Proud to announce it won the Best Short Mountain Film at Banff Mountain Film Festival. It screened on the Banff world tour, and across the US this past fall and winter including film festivals in India and Nepal. Check Pete McBride Photography on Facebook for current updates.

11/6/11: The Banff Mountain Film Festival awarded Pete's film 'Chasing Water', Best Short Mountain Film.
10/9/11 Pete's film 'Chasing Water' screened in New York City at Lincoln Center. Pete was part of a panel discussion with other filmmakers beforehand titled "Going to the Edge"
10/09/11: Pete's Colorado River Aerial Imagery just won First Place for the Natural World Category for portfolios for Fotoweek DC. His work for Casio Watches won Second Place in the Commercial Category, and his film 'Chasing Water' won Second for Multimedia. 'Chasing Water' also won Best Documentary at the Clearwater Film Fest; Best Cinematography at the CINE International Film Fest and was an official selection for the Banff Mtn. Film Festival.
9/1/11: Pete was proud and honored to have his work exhibited at Perpignon's Visa pour L'Image Photo Festival in southern France to some 5000 viewers.
7/20/11: Pete and Jonathan Waterman were honored as the 2011 Robert Billingsley River Conservators at the Roaring Fork Conservancy's 12th annual River Rendezvous for their work bringing awareness to the Colorado River.
7/12/11: Tune into NPR's All Things Considered with Michele Norris on Thursday, July 14th to hear Pete talk about his journey documenting the Colorado River and Western water.
7/11/11: "Chasing Water" is garnering accolades on the film festival circuit, having received nominations or awards at every festival screening so far this year. It was voted the Best Environmental Film at San Francisco'sFrozen Film Festival, nominated for Best Cinematography at Telluride MountainFilm, and won the Most Inspirational Story at Carbondale, Colorado's 5 point Film Festival. 6/25/11: American Photo magazine just released their July/ August 2011 issue, all about water. It's an honor for Pete to be featured in their article titled 'Liquid Courage' (along with renowned conservation photographers Brian Skerry, John Weller, James Balog and Daniel Beltrá), which details "Five photographers who are using pictures of water to change the world".
